“Coming Home”: We hope for the day we can say Bowe is coming home.

We often interact with Bowe Supporters who are from the U.K., Canada and Australia. It’s really great to know that Bowe has worldwide support. Like the United States, each of these countries has troops serving as members of the ISAF (International Security Assistance Force.) Sometimes in Afghanistan service members from the U.S. work together with service members from the U.K.. Canada and Australia. With that in mind, we want to share a video with you. The soldiers singing together in the video are from the U.K. and the U.S.A. It’s called “Coming Home”.  All of us who are supporters of SGT Bowe Bergdahl long for the day we can shout “He’s coming home!”

Together in Faith We Wait for Bowe Bergdahl

Sometimes events unfold in life that seem so wrong, so tragic, that it’s hard to understand why these events had to happen.  Life’s seemingly senseless tragedies can  leave us feeling frustrated, helpless, brokenhearted and confused.  We think about Bowe and wonder why he would be left to suffer in such a horrible situation for so long.  We want to do something to bring him home.  We long to give him comfort, to give his family peace.  It’s easy to feel powerless and small.  But that feeling is a lie.  We are not powerless and small.  We are standing together in faith, knowing that there is a power greater than ourselves that is working in this situation.  This power has drawn us together into a community, a community of caring people from many backgrounds who are standing in the gap for Bowe.  Many of us didn’t know one another before we were brought together on Bowe’s behalf.  These new friendships have blessed us by helping us to grow in faith- the faith we have in a power greater than ourselves.  This is the power of our Creator, the One who breathes life into all that lives. Though we will not rest in our efforts to support Bowe and his family, nor in our efforts to bring Bowe home, we can rest in knowing that our God is sovereign and in control of all things. Δ

God Is In Control

This is no time for fear
This is a time for faith and determination
Don’t lose the vision here
Carried away by emotion
Hold on to all that you hide in your heart
There is one thing that has always been true
It holds the world together

God is in control
We believe that His children will not be forsaken
God is in control
We will choose to remember and never be shaken
There is no power above or beside Him, we know
God is in control, oh God is in control

History marches on
There is a bottom line drawn across the ages
Culture can make its plan
Oh, but the line never changes
No matter how the deception may fly
There is one thing that has always been true
It will be true forever

He has never let you down
Why start to worry now?
He is still the Lord of all we see
And He is still the loving Father
Watching over you and me

watching over you…watching over me..
watching over every things..
watching over you..watching over me..
every little sparrow..every little things…

~ Twila Paris

Again, amen, truly I say to you, if two of you agree on earth about anything for which they are to pray, it shall be granted to them by my heavenly Father. For where two or three are gathered together in my name, there am I in the midst of them. - Matthew 18:19-20

SGT Bowe Bergdahl held two years and six months as a prisoner of war

2 years & 6 months =

130 weeks & 3 days =

It’s well past time for Bowe Bergdahl to come home.

Do your part to support our soldier: tell the people who you know about him,  write your Congressional delegation and tell them to bring Bowe home now.

Psalm 91

1 Whoever dwells in the shelter of the Most High
will rest in the shadow of the Almighty.
2 I will say of the LORD, “He is my refuge and my fortress,
my God, in whom I trust.”

3 Surely he will save you
from the fowler’s snare
and from the deadly pestilence.
4 He will cover you with his feathers,
and under his wings you will find refuge;
his faithfulness will be your shield and rampart.
5 You will not fear the terror of night,
nor the arrow that flies by day,
6 nor the pestilence that stalks in the darkness,
nor the plague that destroys at midday.
7 A thousand may fall at your side,
ten thousand at your right hand,
but it will not come near you.
8 You will only observe with your eyes
and see the punishment of the wicked.

9 If you say, “The LORD is my refuge,”
and you make the Most High your dwelling,
10 no harm will overtake you,
no disaster will come near your tent.
11 For he will command his angels concerning you
to guard you in all your ways;
12 they will lift you up in their hands,
so that you will not strike your foot against a stone.
13 You will tread on the lion and the cobra;
you will trample the great lion and the serpent.

14 “Because he loves me,” says the LORD, “I will rescue him;
I will protect him, for he acknowledges my name.
15 He will call on me, and I will answer him;
I will be with him in trouble,
I will deliver him and honor him.
16 With long life I will satisfy him
and show him my salvation.”
