    Dear Bergdahl Family:
I have a son who is a Sgt in the U.S. Army 82nd Airborne Division presently. I can only imagine how difficult this is for all of you. Please know that we will not rest until Bowe is brought home safely. You are all in our thoughts and prayers. Godspeed!

  6. Kayla S. says:

About a year ago, I was walking the streets of D.C. and I found a little yellow bracelet on the sidewalk. I picked it up, read it, and put it right on my wrist. It says Sgt Bowe Bergdahl US Army 6/30/09 Afghanistan POW. I did my research and found out about his, and your, story. Since that day I have prayed and worn that bracelet. Every time I look at it I gain a new sense of hope that one day he will return home. God bless.

  7. Fire Official John Beslanovitz says:

  8. Rob Amante says:

Wrote my congressman today, as I did his predecessor. I am at such a loss as to why our Governement does more to get American Prisoners from North Korea who knowingly walked into that country, than our Serviceman Sgt. Bowe Bergdahl. Wake up Washington and let’s go get this Soldier!!

  9. Rose Engel says:

Your always in my thoughts. Just know you are not forgotten and you will be back home. America is waiting for you!

  10. Morgan says:

I first head Sgt. Bergdahl’s name for the first time, yesterday on Memorial Day, on a picture that a FB friend shared. I am in shock that he has been a POW since 2009 and I am just now hearing his name. I am sure it has been on the news and I do not know how I missed it. I wish he and all the other POW’s names were on the news everyday! I hope that officials can work together to bring everyone home. Sgt. Bergdahl and his family are in my prayers. My father is a Vietnam Veteran and you hear so many stories of POWS. That was over 40 years ago and to think in this day and time (2013) there are POWS! My heart goes out to the family and friends; I cannot even begin to imagine your despair. I have 3 young children and I cannot imagine this happening to my son or daughters. May God bless Sgt. Bergdahl. his family, friends and all our troops.

  11. Athena magruder says:

Sent to Senators Diane Feinstein and Senator Barbara Boxer this morning.

    Dear Senator,

I am sincerely asking for your influence in a situation that is quite disturbing for me. I would like you to lend your powerful voice to that of hundreds of frustrated Americans in insisting that Sergeant Bowe Bergdhal be released from captivity.

As I’m sure you are aware, SGT. Bergdhal was captured in Afghanistan on June 30th of 2009 by a Taliban allied Afghan insurgent group called the Haqqani Network. He remains in captivity while the Taliban attempts to barter with America for his life in an effort to further its militant agenda.

Senator, I am the wife of a retired Army Sergeant and this situation really hits home. I cannot imagine the worry that his family endures on a daily basis and I wish for nothing more than an end to their suffering and his.

While I was in high school I volunteered for your campaign in Napa, Ca. I was a young high school student who was very much in awe of you and your staunch stand on issues that were important to you. I humbly ask that you use that tenacity now to secure this man’s release.

I appreciate your time. I know first hand how busy you are.

    Athena Magruder
    Bakersfield, CA.

  12. Diane Martin says:

Being captured by the Taliban is part of God’s unknown plan … be patient in Almighty God’s hands, Sgt. Bowe Bergdahl. He is your comfort along with the prayers we offer up for you, our dear and heroic warrior. And always remember that you are not forgotten!!!

There must be more that the United States can do to bring him home safely to his loving family who is waiting for him.

  26. Prayers for you and your family. May God bless you for your service and sacrifice.

  27. Kristi U says:

When I saw this on facebook I was distraught. But God always knows what we need. The very next post said this: Having a rough morning? Place your hand over your heart. Feel that? That’s called purpose. You’re alive for a reason. Don’t give up. I pray that God will make this known to him, and that he will be home with his family soon.

I cannot believe I didn’t know about your awful plight until a random facebook post of your picture showed up in my feed. My heart breaks when I read your story. You have gone through what no man should be asked to endure, but know that it was not for nothing. It is because of men like you that I have my freedom, and I wake up every day and thank God for people like you who have the greatness of heart to make such sacrifices for the rest of America. I will not stop petitioning my Congressmen until you are brought home. Stay strong, and thank you for your sacrifice. -Beretta

My mom brought home the yellow band of Sgt Bowe Bergdahl yesterday, I looked up his story and immediately wanted to do something to try and help, I copy and pasted the drafted letter to Senators you have on another page and I sent it to the Senators in my area. I wear this yellow band now in hopes of bringing more recognition to his story. If there is more that can be done I would love to get involved. This story breaks my heart, this young man is the same age as me and its unbelievable to think about what this man and his family are going through! Praying for your safe return brave soldier!! I just learned about Sgt Bergdahl’s story today. This is deeply disturbing that this American hero is still being held and his story is not on every news network on TV. I will pray for the safe return of this man to his family. I will also share this so that more and more people are aware of this. God bless you Sgt. Bergdahl and know that the American people are behind you 100%!

God Bless you and your family

  47. Dannie Pinedo says:

Dear Bowe, I just recently learned of you – it is a SHAME that you have been a POW for 4yrs and I am just NOW hearing of your plight. When I read your story and watched your videos, I cried – every time I share them with someone, I cry .. I can NOT even fathom the loneliness and abandoned feeling you must live everyday – nor what your parents must feel waking up everyday feeling the emptiness of your presence – when I think of your plight, I feel as if I will hyperventilate. I have a son (actually I have 2 but), with your beard and mustache, you both look like twins and he is your same age. Please know that my 2 youngest children and I pray every day that God will surround you with His people, that He will protect you from anyone who will do you harm – that He will make sure you are fed and comfortable and that He will bring you home alive, well, and whole – sooner than soon!! I am so sorry that our gov’t has failed you – has failed to bring you home before now .. one day is too many!!

Ever since I have learned of your plight, I have pushed this to the forefront of every page on the net that I possible can .. I have also called my representatives and emailed everyone I can think of .. as well as, sharing your story with EVERYone I come in contact with!!

Please know that you are in our thoughts and prayers, as are your parents – just so very much so!!

God bless and protect you (!!) – God bless your parents .. <3

    From my heart,

I believe we need a great deal more content like this on the web.
I shouldn’t need to work through 5 pages of horrid google listings simply to find A single site that is literally relevant and helps me. It is a travesty I say. Apologies for the rant; just sick of it is all. Fantastic content, saved to favorites!

I am so sorry to hear about this situation. I knew nothing of this until I read the article about your son in the rolling stone magazine. I am actually quite disturbed by this and I would like to help or just ask some questions or anything to understand this situation better. I tried researcing more on the internet and some of the things that I am seeing our own government say about this situation once again is disturbing. I was unaware of such things going on in this country until now. Once again I am looking forward to your sons safe return. Once again can someone please contact me. Thank you.
