  1. Tonya, Melbourne Beach, FL says:

Words can’t express how I feel for Bowe and his family. I myself a parent, can’t even begin to image…. Bowe, you are in our thoughts and prayers and your picture is posted next my computer in my office along with a yellow ribbon out front of my home. I pray for your safe return. What you have done for our country will NEVER be forgotten. You are a hero and I can’t express to you what that means to us back home. I know with all of our prayers you will be brought home safely and we will all be waiting.

  2. Rebecca says:

What a heartbreaking story! I had never heard about Sgt. Bowe’s story until I came across an article today. I visited the website that was listed in the article and have since passed on this information to others that may not be aware. I pray for his safe release and pray for his family and friends as well. I hope more awareness is brought to this horrible situation and that pressure is kept on the Obama administration to put a resolution to this. Never forget, never give up hope, and keep your faith strong.

    God Bless You,

Dear Bowe. I am praying for you right now. The Word says if two or more are gathered in agreeement, there The Lord is in the midst of them. I am praying in agreement with all the folks on this page. I am praying for you to be surrounded by big, burly powerful angels with full gear on to protect you as you wait to be freed. I pray for you to feel the sweet presence of the Lord and be comforted. I pray you will have favor with your captors and they will treat you kindly. I pray that whoever makes the final decision on both sides of the fence is quickened and sees the favorability of releasing you soon. I pray that you know you are not forgotten.

Our hearts go out to Bowe and his dear family during these difficult days of uncertainty. We anxiously await the day when we hear that Bowe has been released and is on his way home. That is when I will finally be able to remove my yellow wrist band! Lean on the Lord for His strength and peace. I was touched by your comments to your parents. Obviously, your humanity is still intact. I hope you hold tight to it.

I didn’t write these words, but I thought of them right away when I read your thoughts.

“…and you must fight for your heart with all you’ve got, or the devil will surely have it for himself…”

You’re fighting for it with all you’ve got. You’re an inspiration. I’m praying that you are released and are reunited with the people who love you.

  41. Yumi' says:

I’ve just found out about this sad event …actually I think that in Italy very few persons know about Sergeant Bowe and I am really impressed.
It’s such a difficult situation (from the personal point of view, for the diplomacy issues, for Bowe’s safeguard) and the idea of this guy and this family left behind by the Government and its related intitutions is killing me. Sergeant Bowe was there representing the US and the US authorities forgot him. If that is true -as it seems to be-, it’s terrible.
And it’s even worse the fact that somebody is still trying to keep this event as ‘private’ as possible.
I know there’s nothing that might be done by my side, but please let me express my moral support.
Be positive, confident and do not lose the hope… I am keeping my fingers crossed,

    (Como – Italy)

The United States asks more and more of its soldiers and their families. Please do anything in your power to get this man home safely to his family.

  113. Sgt. New says:

When I first saw this online I wish I could say I was shocked. There isn’t a word to describe what I felt. I am currently deployed to Afghanistan and the route my team runs is through Ghazni almost on a daily basis. Just knowing that this fellow NCO could have been held captive within yards of me makes me feel sick, sick to a point I cant breath. I understand yes, but cannot fathom why after so long he is still a prisoner. Why no one is doing anything, why an extraction attempt has not been made. I just keep thinking…what if that was me? Or worse…. one of the soldiers I was entrusted to lead and keep safe. If there ever is an extraction mission put in motion I would give ANYTHING to be one of the soldiers to go in and bring my brother home. Stay strong my fellow NCO, nothing…NOTHING changes that you are a United States Soldier!

  114. Debbie Nagy says:

It takes a village to raise a child and the world is coming together, in unity, to give family hope and encouragement. BRING BOWE HOME

I learned about this from a friends facebook post. I don’t watch alot of news, but you would think this should be getting alot of attention! Bergdahl, I may not have a bracelet with your name but it is on my prayer list now. I will be praying for you and your family, and adding a post to my facebook so that others know. You are NOT FORGOTTEN and your bravery is not in vain. Thank you and may God protect you and be your strength and comfort.
