Support SGT Bowe Bergdahl: Sign his petition today!

We have been given information about a new petition for SGT Bowe Bergdahl that has been started at We the People on the White House website.  By way of social media, the Bergdahl family has publicly supported this specific petition. Please help Bowe by signing it as soon as you can. The time to collect all the signatures is short so we all need to share it with as many people as we can right away. Here are the goals that have to be met:
  • To cross the first threshold and be searchable within WhiteHouse.gov, a petition must reach 150 signatures within 30 days. To cross the second threshold and require a response, a petition must reach 100,000 signatures within 30 days.
ABC News Reports:
“Bowe Bergdahl: Missing G.I.’s Dad Launches White House Petition To Free Prisoner Son”
  • “His petition, on the heels of a reported new video of the missing G.I., is a general call to “take action to secure the release, or rescue, or Sgt. Bowe Bergdahl, using all means available, including force.”

PLEASE NOTE:  Occasionally people have had problems signing up for the petition or confirming their registration info via their email.  We have been told by a few Bowe Supporters that the White House web security system sometimes will not allow sign-ups from some people who are using their mobile phones.  Some have also found it difficult to click on the emailed confirmation link that redirects back to https://petitions.whitehouse.gov/.  Sometimes when that happens one needs to be sure that their pop-up blocker isn’t preventing the redirect.  Another solution might be to cut and paste the confirmation link into the url address bar of your browser.  There is also a FAQs page on the White House website at https://petitions.whitehouse.gov/how-why/frequently-asked-questions.  This is all the information that we can offer regarding problems with creating an account or signing the petition.  If we find out more, we’ll add it here.

It’s BOWE TUESDAY 232.  As of 10 December 2013, SGT Bowe Bergdahl has been held captive by Taliban-allied insurgents for 232 weeks.

As of 10 December 2013, SGT Bowe Bergdahl has been held captive by Taliban-allied insurgents for 4 years, 5 months, 1 week and 3 days.

There are 21 days left in the year 2013.  During the holidays, people gather together for many different activities.  Often we visit with people who we might not get the chance to see any other time of the year.  Sometimes we even get a chance to share conversations with people we have never met before.  The holiday season offers us many opportunities to share Bowe’s story with people who have yet to hear about him.  It’s a good time to have a few of Bowe’s brochures on hand to share.  Some Bowe supporters have had business cards made up with Bowe’s information on them.  Business cards are handy and fit easily in a pocket or purse. Giving out a  business card is a great way to remind people about Bowe long after you tell them about him.

Get Bowe’s downloadable brochure HERE.

There are many places where one can purchase business cards.  For some ideas about business cards, go HERE.

BOWE TUESDAY: Bowe Bergdahl now captive for 224 weeks.

Be sure to take some extra time today to get the word out about Bowe’s plight.  If you can, call, email or write your Members of Congress today.

Every BOWE TUESDAY many of Bowe’s supporters make a special post to their Facebook pages reminding their friends about Bowe.  If you are able to post for Bowe on Facebook, don’t forget to ask your friends to join us all in supporting Bowe.  There are many who don’t even know about Bowe and when people find out, they’re almost certain to say that they wish they had known sooner.

If you’re on Twitter, please take some time to send out some tweets for Bowe.  Twitter has been very effective for getting the word out.  Be sure to use hash tags #Bowe #Bergdahl #POW #MIA.

Bring Bowe Bergdahl Home! Sign the online petition

This is an easy thing to do for anyone who wants to help bring Bowe Bergdahl back home.

PETITION "Army SGT Bowe Bergdahl Pow: Find, Rescue, Return"There are many ways one can speak out for Bowe. One way is to lend strength to his petition by signing it and sharing it with others.  Sign and share, it’s as simple as that. An online petition makes it all the easier for those who wish to participate; it’s just a click away. And one shouldn’t forget that there are many who would want to participate- they just need someone to tell them about the petition and where to find it. You can tell them, you can speak out for Bowe.

A group of Bowe Supporters, spearheaded by Ellen Parker, have come together to begin a new petition which, when completed, will be sent to the Senate Armed Forces Committee, President Barack Obama and Secretary of State John Kerry. The text of the petition is as follows:

Army SGT Bowe Bergdahl Pow: Find, Rescue, Return

  • Signature goal: 100,000
  • Target: Senate Armed Forces Committee, President Barack Obama, Secretary of State John Kerry
  • Sponsored by: Ellen Parker

We the undersigned demand that President Barack Obama, Secretary of State John Kerry, the Senate and House Armed Services Committees, CJCS General Martin Dempsey and CIA Director John Brennan take all measures necessary to locate Sgt. Bowe Bergdhal, secure his freedom and bring him home to the USA.

Sgt. Bowe Bergdahl was captured while deployed to Afghanistan on June 30, 2009. We fervently believe that after four (4) years of captivity it is time for the Obama Administration to take any and all measures to return Sgt. Bergdahl to his family & country. Sgt. Bergdhal is reportedly held by the Taliban-aligned Haqqani network. Reports state that negotiations fell apart in March of 2012. We believe that now is the time to make his release a priority. It is time to find him and bring him home by any means necessary.

Don’t let Sgt. Bergdhal be left behind. Our motto is “We leave no man behind”, yet we are drawing down our troops in Afghanistan and have not secured the release of Sgt. Bergdahl. Once our troops are home, it will be much more difficult to seure the release of Sgt. Bergdahl. Now is the time to act!

Let the President Barack Obama, Secretary of State John Kerry, the Senate and House Armed Services Committees, CJCS General Martin Dempsey and CIA Director John Brennan know it is time to find Sgt. Bergdhal and bring him home.

You can help to raise awareness about Bowe’s plight while you spread the word about the petition. There is a free, downloadable FLYER that will help you to share petition related info.

Please help to bring Bowe home by signing and sharing this petition; this is an important thing to do. Be one of the 100,000 signatures that will be sent to Washington D.C. along with the message “Bring SGT Bowe Bergdahl Home NOW!”
